Terms of use

Effective: 17 October 2026

These terms cover the Mibuu game and this website. Mibuu is made for kids aged 6 to 12, so these terms are written for their parents and guardians. By letting your kid play, you agree to them on your kid's behalf.

Who we are

Mibuu is made by Rovugui Studio, the trade name of Carlos Brotas, in Portugal. You can reach us at hello@mibuu.com.

The game is free

Mibuu is free to download and play. There are no ads and no subscriptions. Every Activity in the main game, every Need, every Stage and every Friend feature works without paying.

Optional purchases

  • The game sells optional one-time packs, such as Room Themes, Decor, Wearables and extra games, and Mibuu Plus. Each one has fixed contents and a fixed price, shown by the store before you pay.
  • Only a grown-up can buy, in the Parent Area, behind the Parent gate. Your kid never sees a price.
  • Apple sells the packs on the App Store and Google sells them on Google Play. The store takes the payment, and its own terms apply to the sale. We never see your payment details.
  • A pack belongs to the store account that bought it. Use "Restore purchases" in the Parent Area's Shop to get it back on a new phone. On iPhone, Apple Family Sharing shares packs with your family.
  • Stars can't be bought, and nothing in the game can be bought with chance. Stars and game items have no money value. They can't be sold, swapped or turned into money.

Refunds

Because Apple and Google take the payment, refunds go through them, under their rules. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google from your order history in Google Play. If you are in the EU, the store's terms explain your right to withdraw from a digital purchase. When a refund goes through, that pack's items leave the game. Nothing else your kid has is lost.

Playing fair

Please don't:

  • try to break, overload or get around the game's server or its limits,
  • try to guess Friend codes or reach accounts that aren't yours,
  • copy, change or resell the game, or use it to build another.

If an account breaks these rules, we may remove its online features or delete it. Everything on the phone keeps working.

Your kid's game and data

Your kid's game lives on the phone. We don't keep a cloud copy, so uninstalling the app or losing the phone loses the progress. The privacy policy explains what goes to our server and how to delete it.

Mibuu is in testing

Right now Mibuu is in testing with a small group of families. During testing, saved progress may not carry over to later versions, and things will change. We will say on this website when testing ends.

Changes to the game

We may add, change or remove features. If we ever stop the game, we will say so on this website first. The parts of the game that live on the phone keep working without the online features.

Our work

The Mibuu name, art, sounds and code belong to Carlos Brotas (Rovugui Studio), apart from the fonts, sounds and voices made by others and credited in the store listing. Playing the game gives you a personal right to use it, not ownership of it.

Our responsibility

We work to keep Mibuu safe and working, but we can't promise it will always be free of bugs or always online. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have as a consumer under the law where you live, and nothing limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it.

Law and disputes

Portuguese law governs these terms. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at hello@mibuu.com, and we will try to fix it. If we can't, you can go to the courts of Portugal. If you live in another country, you also keep the right to go to the courts where you live and the protection of your own country's consumer law. In Portugal you can also file a complaint in the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change applies.
